At Dominance, we strongly believe a business is only as good as its people, and we take great pride in our ability to attract and retain quality staff within our organisation.
Our team consists of experienced and knowledgeable staff, whose dedication and loyalty to the company has led to outstanding levels of retention for over two decades.
We offer ongoing training to upskill our employees and we review each employee’s skills frequently. We also monitor our staff’s productivity levels to ensure that we can continue to provide high-quality services to our clients while maximising the potential of our staff.
We pride ourselves on selecting elite individuals to uphold the values of being a Dominance staff member. We employ people from a diverse range of backgrounds, age groups and nationalities to help us meet the requirements of our clients and contract sites.
All staff are licenced, First Aid trained and supported with in house training delivered by accredited instructors. Our internal communication systems ensure employees are kept up to date with the latest industry protocols, Work Health & Safety and Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation.
Dominance’s credentials extend beyond the supply of quality security services. We pride ourselves on our long-term relationships with clients, and endeavour to deliver what we promise at all times.
We are in a unique position by offering the flexibility and peace of mind of a large security provider, with the individual attention of a small operator.
Our greatest investment is in our valued team members.
Women in Security
We have female staff in every area of the business, ranging from guards to highly trained covert LPO staff, office administrators, human resources, and the advisory committee.
The security industry has traditionally been viewed as a male-dominated industry, statistics from State regulators show that in NSW, ACT, and SA, around 10% of the security industry is comprised of women, with figures in TAS and QLD slightly higher, around 14%. We want to see these figures rise across all states and territories, and we are dedicated in our efforts to include more women across the industry.
The health and safety of our staff is a top priority at Dominance, and we strongly believe in creating a harmonious work-life balance. We work with our employees to develop work schedules that factor in flexible working arrangements so our staff can be rest assured that their needs are being taken care of, no matter the circumstance.
EMPLOYMENT DIVERSITY
At Dominance, we are strong advocates for encouraging more diversity in the workplace and helping secure jobs for those looking to get back into the workforce. We are an equal opportunity employer. When we hire, we select from a large pool of candidates who come from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic situations. We work with organisations such as Jobactive, a provider who finds jobs for the unemployed, and DES, an organisation that provides disability and rehabilitation candidates to increase social inclusion within the workforce.
The team at Dominance comprises more than 13% of staff members who were considered long-term unemployed, or have had barriers to employment or were hired through rehabilitation agencies when they commenced with Dominance.
